Introduction

This Workshop on Network Technology is held from 16 to 21 May 2004, in conjunction with the fifth meeting of the African Network Operators Group, AfNOG 2004, which takes place on 22 and 23 May 2004.

The venue for both the Workshop and the AfNOG meeting is the Hotel Ngor-Diarama in Dakar, Sénégal.

The workshop aims to offer advanced training to operators of existing African Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who are participants in the process of developing and enhancing a national Internet with regional and international connectivity.

This workshop builds upon the experiences of the previous AfNOG workshops held in Cape Town (South Africa) in 2000, Accra (Ghana) in 2001, Lomé (Togo) in 2002, Kampala (Uganda) in 2003, and the Internet Society's INET workshops held fr 1993-2000 at eight locations around the world.

Goals

The goals of the Workshop are:

Workshop tracks / Thèmes des ateliers
