Introduction

This Workshop on Network Technology is held from 24 to 29 May 2015, in conjunction with the African Internet Summit, from 30 May to 5 June 2015.

The venue for the workshop is the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Tunis, Tunisia.

The workshop aims to offer advanced training to operators of existing African Internet Service Providers (ISPs) who are participants in the process of developing and enhancing a national Internet with regional and international connectivity.

This workshop builds upon the experiences of the previous AfNOG workshops held in:

and the Internet Society's INET workshops held from 1993 to 2000 at eight locations around the world.

AfNOG 2015 was made possible by generous contributions from several sponsors.

Goals

The goals of the Workshop are:

Workshop tracks / Thèmes des ateliers

An intensive program of instruction is planned for the workshop, composed of three instructional tracks in English, and one in French. Participants attend only one of the tracks, since the tracks run concurrently. All participants will engage in extensive hands-on training, setting up and managing prototype infrastructure and services.

Detailed information for each track appears below.
